Growing up poor and raised in the oil fields of West Texas, Ronn fell in love with automobiles at an early age. While other kids played sports, Ronn was building model cars in his room, dreaming about the future. In his early 20s, Ronn started his first body shop with only $500 in his pocket, and the rest was history. He founded and managed several automotive companies during his career, including Rennaire LLC, which built and designed A/C components for the Porsche 911.

 The more significant chapter of Ronn's story began after he returned from a consulting trip to China in 2007, training Zonda engineers to improve the quality and manufacturing processes for their buses. Ronn had a vision that the automotive industry needed to be transformed, and hydrogen was the answer. Ronn started RONN Motor Company and built the world's first hydrogen hybrid supercar, The Scorpion. 

The Scorpion was launched with rave reviews at SEMA, the "world-renowned auto show" in Las Vegas. The Scorpion has been showcased on television programs around the globe, including the Velocity Network's" World's Most Expensive Rides;" it has also been shown numerous times on" SPEEDVISION." The Scorpion also made its major motion picture appearance in the Bruce Willis movie Looper. Prince Albert viewed the Scorpion in Monaco at the Supercar Top Marques Show.

Ronn was invited to work with the Bush administration on its U.S. Hydrogen initiative and meet with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger at the California state capital to work with Governor Schwarzenegger on his insights on the California Hydrogen Highway Initiative.

RONN Motor Group was formed in 2013 with a vision to become a zero-emission automaker. The focus is utilizing innovative technology to create a line of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (HFCEVs) that are carbon neutral and positively impact the environment. RMG now has over a billion dollars in assets and is currently engaged with some of the world's leading contract engineering and manufacturing companies.

In 2020 Mr. Ford was bestowed the honor of being named "Hydrogen Energy Ambassador and Spokesperson" and "Honorary Chairman of Township Planning Committee." for Qingdao City, China.
